Yes, spent some happy times in Malaysia. Had a trip about 5 years ag, got the train in from Thailand in to Penang. Georgetown then up to the Cameron Highlands (beautiful - drinking tea in the plantation!), down to KL then over to Sarawak - Kuching. Wow, loved it there. Went up Mt Kinabalu and visited the orang utan sanctuary in Sabah. Spent some time in Bario in the interior of Sarawak then ended up at Pulau Perhentian. Stunning. In fact went back to the Perhentians two years later with my son. Beautiful beautiful part of the world.
Please excuse my indulgent reminiscing ! All seens a long way away as winter approaches in the north west of England.

GeeBee : wow! that sounded like a helluva trip! even i havent been to some of the places u mentioned always wanted to go to Pulau Perhentian tho. i bet u had loadsa fun snorkeling & diving in Perhentian eh? nice!

Shellshock : nice! go n give it a go then... i like this show called 'The Moment of Truth' fromthe US. the host is damn wikd but i couldnt remember his name. i think u would make a good gameshow host
