I have no idea what they're are worth or the value of the materials. All i'm saying is that i think there maybe an element of hype here not uncommon in the art world and where did this 500 dollar benchmark come from?

True. It doesn't look like there's any warm lining in them. Looks a bit like a hiking boot or something.
