Damn you Tor, beat me to it [as he blows dust off the crates]...

Since we're having the "I'm older than you" dick swinging contest I'll put it out there that I saw them on that first Raising Hell Tour in '86 in Rochester, New York. Was standing right up front. Beastie Boys came out and did one song, "Let It Flow," and no one knew who the fuck they were. I did only because that tune they did using "Back in Black" as the hook was on the b-side of a 12" that I had. Then a group called Whistle came out and did their one hit "Only Buggin'" Then Whodini, then Run-DMC. Things got dicey and I got punched in the head at one point.

I saw them on the Run's House tour in Seattle. Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince opened. Rap groups didn't tour Vancouver back then so it was up to a friend's parents to drive us down.

Tif I saw that tour in London with LL Cool J but no Beasties (thank God Very Happy), Whistle weren't there.. another blessing, but Whodini were brilliant - real pros by that stage in their career.
Got a white label 12" of that whistle tune if anyone likes it? LOL
Reply

Yeah, that tune was awful. I forgot about LL. He was there but I think he only did "...Radio" and maybe one other.

Haven't liked Whodini since a friend at the time told me he liked them more than Public Enemy.

@ lorrie
Can't really compare the two.. ha ha. But if he wants the 12" I'll cut you in... so about 25 cents yeah?
Just remembered I had the white gloves with 'just buggin' written on them... but gave them to my cousin, so cannot offer the potential 75 cents .. so sad.
