October last year I bought some elephant luxs from tshirts4u.

The other day I took them for a walk for the first time, and I noticed this:



Now, what do I do? They refuse to give me a new pair because it's so long time since I bought them. On the other hand, they've only been worn once, and I don't think they're meant to break like that after 8 months in a box (yes, I know it's some time, but I had to move, and sort a lot of things out).

shit happens. looks like there is a lot of glue around, so you can tell them to repair it (it will look ugly) or simply forget about it...

They're not glued properly, that's for sure. Does anyone have an idea on what to do to fix it?

my brother glued his other shoes - it didn't help for long.
i'm afraid u can't do anything about that - just wear diffrent pair everyday, they will last longer..

Put impact adhesive down the gap with a toothpick.
Be very careful and it won't be very noticable.
Then fill the end of the shoe up with newspaper and leave it.
It'll be stuck bloody good.

...or take the shoe to a repair shop, they should be able to fix stuff like that (they'll probably do exactly what Pure just described)

Not sure how it works outside of the UK but...

Within the UK items like trainers have a 6 year period in which you can return them to the company you bought them from if a fault appears with the manufacture.

You are liable for the cost of returning the item to them, however if a fault is found they should reimburse the postage cost.

So, if you bought them from a website and then the tongue fell off or something, you'd return them to that website who would then refund you and it would then be up to them to chase up adidas for a refund.

Like I say, this is within the UK but I'd assume similar rules apply in other countries also?

it work very similar in poland too, except our guarantee is for 2 years. it's completly useless, because whatever happens to shoe, answer from the shop is pretty much the same - they were used 'inconsistent' purpose, ie u bought basketball shoes, and u were running in them..

I currently work for a uk mail order clothing company answering complaints so I deal with this shit every day

If the shop you got em from is being a shit then just contact adidas directly mate, if they are obviously not worn to death then this is a fault and they'll replace them for you

I don't blame the shop really if they were purchased 8 months ago. And you can't really blame the store because they didn't make the shoe. I think the best thing you can do is contact Adidas, and tell them it's a manufacturing problem. Hopefully you still have the original receipt and tags and all. Anyways in the future check out the shoe, before you store them in your closet, and good luck with getting it fixed.
