i just bought a nintendo wii, just wondering if any of you guys/gals has one and could recomend any good games, thanks in advance

depends. are you looking for serious games or games to play with your friends when you're drinking?

Well Wii Sports is a classic and will be something that you'll keep coming back too, Wii Play has some good games on it (fishing is great) and is a good way of getting the second controller.

Mario Kart is 1st class 1 palyer or multiplayer, Mario Olympics is OK but very physical, Lego Star Wars is a very cool 1 player game, Red Steel seems OK my mates like it but it is hard 4 player game. Oh and Zelda is fantastic if you have a about 100 hours to play it!!!!

I'd like to get Pro Evo as I think that could be a decent footy game, different control system.

well, wii is fun.. for first few days.
i'd rather sell it back and get xbox - just one more week before gta 4 release.. consider this option :>

Zelda is fun, and so is Mario Galaxy.

Super monkey ball has loads of weird mini games, some fun, some crap, some dangerous (I nearly gave myself a black eye!). You can find it cheap in random places - I got it for £7.50 when I bought the wii.

Resident evil is a great game.

Mario galaxy is ridiculously good.

Mario kart is gonna be my next purchase probably, although wii fit looks interesting,

I'm gonna get rid of ssx blur, it sucks.

Wario Ware is great fun but you look like a total ass playing. It's real fast play, and great alone or with lots of friends.

My nephews have one and I think its the best since since sliced superstars or summat like that. I can recommend Wii Sports, the baseball is great and something I play alot especially when your eleven year old nephew likes to remind his uncle how many more homers he can hit!!

Also loved Blazin' Angels cracking game if you love flying shoot em ups!

I got a Wii for the missus 'cause she couldn't play any of my xb360 games, thought it wouldn't be my cup o' tea. How wrong could I be, after a couple of weeks I was ready to part with my xbox (glad I didn't 'cause I would never have got to play COD4...). Mario Olympics, Mario Galaxy + Sega Tennis are the nuts, especially Olympics + Tennis if you have some pals round, with a top shelf cocktail forfeit for the loser ! Just make sure you draw the curtains !
