k, I'm 21 and here's the story of my first pair of Superstars: Back in the days when I was young I didn't liked the shelltoes, because they were "in" at that time and everybody was sporting them...I mean I liked the design, but they just wasn't special as everybody was wearing the blacks&whites... ok, then I saw a white with scarlet red stripes (I'm talking about a superstar 1 with smooth stripes - I'm not sure if they where even released in Europe at that (pre-ebay) time) but - nowhere to find... During a USA holiday I found 'em - exactly the ones I wanted. They where about a half size too small (EUR 37 or something like that), but I didn't mind - and I really took care of them, I cleaned them after wearing em - now there are used as decoration...still fresh - I gotta find that one again...
