Its like the old saying in the convents - apparantly the girls were never aloud to wear patent shoes becasue the nun's said that any boys around could see their knickers in the reflection!!!
God know's if that is true or not, but I remember when I was little and my Nan would never let me wear patent shoes!!!! lol
