i know a few of you are into your dubs so thought id ask you about anything to look out for when buying a mk1 golf gti cabby ?
been offered a swap on my bmw for one ive liked for a while - leather interior, ronal Turbo R10 alloys etc - its very nice to look at but i dont know the first thing a bout golfs
any help appreciated

Check for rust and that the roof is in 1 piece, not 2 or ripped. Check that its been serviced etc.
Thats my 2cents worth. Im sure the boys and girls here will fill in the blanks which i don't know about.

Depends on the year mate, the cabby's ran well late (up to 93). Post 82 should be a 1.8 with a 5 speed box.

Maqke sure its either got the cabby bodykit or no bumpers at all.
So even its fucked, it'll still look nice
