same thing you can say about superstars. why to pay hundred dollars for a 35th series while you can get classic white/black pair much cheaper..

I just read on wikipedia that Michael Jordan was more interested in adidas than Nike, but adidas offered him a lesser deal.
So he ended up going with Nike.
He didn't even like the first Air Jordan's, and said that they looked like "Devil's shoes".
They were even banned by the NBA.

Wrong, only the ones with the red midsole were banned as it says in the regs the shoes must have a white midsole.

Something to do with the rubber. Nike played it to there advantage though, by using the 'so good they're banned' method...

Funnily enough, Adidas rejected the technology for 'Air' in the first place. Nike have the rejection letter framed in the main building of the HQ.

Do Jordans actually play well in basketball?
Or do they cramp up your feet?
I'm talking about the old skool ones.
I think I read somewhere that the 5's play best, but I wouldn't know.

I think they would probably be more comfortable than Superstars are Clydes.
I know wearing them for everyday use is comfy, a little hot at times, but comfy.

Everybody around me collects these things. I like a few of them, some of the lazers, really digging your white on whites. Not really feeling most of them though. I don't really like high tops though. There is just too many panels, much too much. As far as nikes go, Dunks are much better. Nike isn't anywhere near going out of business. Its all people wear around the us.Many of the Shoe stores around the states sell Nike exclusively.
