– why are adidas using crappy materials for the stripes instead of suede and leather? Yeah, I know, probably because it's cheaper, but it makes the shoes look cheap too

I don't see what's wrong with the stripes and heels.... Aren't they exacly the same as every other pair of 80's. Except for the ones with felt/suede stripes. The heel patch on these looks no different than on my frenchies. the stripes look no different than on all of my sk8ies.

And the leather they use isn't allways better. Look at the craft vins. They have real leather stripes but they are horribly cut. I'd rather have some nicely cut synthetic leather. Or suede offcourse

Now when I look on some bigger pics I see what you mean, I'm not a fan of stripes that are not the same colour straight through (when you see the white on the sides). Still, the colours of the shoes make up for it IMO.
