Back from the lab with my really filthy park shoes.. they were never particularly nice looking new. The sole should be peach.

I tried three cleaners, all for approx 20 seconds with a Jason Markk brush, although any quality shoe brush would be fine I reckon.
Didn't expect much as 20 seconds isn't long, but I figured that if a cleaner was good you'd begin to see results immediately. I concentrated on the sole unit as this is often the hardest to clean with out using strong cleaners.

I honestly see hardly any difference: the Jason Markk does smell nice, the Earth Friendly did work but the ethanol may not be great for the shoe, and the Hand Wash was gentle on my hands Rolling Eyes.
But after my Jason Markk runs out, I will be using a hand cleaner such as the Waitrose Aloe Vera in future.
I do think the brush has a lot to do with it, but I think I may have got caught up in the Jason Markk hype. Sad

I know that it's kind of supposed to be meant for everything but I really only use JM for the upper and only when it's needed using the boars hair brush. Dish soap and a toothbrush for the outsole on 'supes and Clorox (no bleach) wipes on the EVA on runners for me.

I might be a bit sad here, but i've just ordered a pack of those over the shoe blue plastic shoe covers. My main problem with my trainers is the rear outer heel getting grimey from the floor mats in my car when I'm driving. From now on, I'm putting these covers on when I'm driving, a la Mark Wahlberg at the end of The Departed!

lovin' me terrace footwear.

I have the exact same problem Big Vern and you really need some good old elbow grease to get those stains off.

He peeps. I was wondering if any of you guys have any good tips for cleaning colored 80's shells. No matter how good I clean them they always remain a little chalky.
