jam - unless you get clipless (weird naming because they clip in) shoes don't matter too much for cycling I've found as long as they fit well. If your into jumping some slightly wider ones with extra space for extra pedal grip are nice, if your racing then smaller, tighter fitting ones I guess. From what I've seen, goodyears are just casual trainers, not designed to be particularly sporty
