They feel like they have a plasticy coating but I don't think you'd need to take any uber-special care. I'm not sure if I'd use a toothbrush as marks/scratches show up a lot (especially under flash) but a cloth and elbow grease should be fine 
(having said that, I've never cleaned mine as I'm uber-careful not to get em mucky
