sadly the amount awarded 70% costs for the 18 month case
and that is going to put off a lot of manufacturers from stepping up
also Ebay have lodged an appeal already and that could take another year to be heard and ruled on
i think ebay might win this one as LVMH made the case more about devaluing their products rather than about faking their products
LVMH were being snobs about it which won't help them
i think all manufacturers hate ebay at heart as it has ended their control of the brands in the retail market
what adidas/nike/apple and all the other manufacturers should have done is got together and done this
gone up against them with a unified front and combined industry weight/funds
ebay are too big to mess with alone
grrr...
