well, because i used to live in the US and most of my shoes are US8 or 8.5. and i found this pair when i was traveling in Japan, and US8 was the best fit when i tried them on there. but after doing some searching, i don't think this style is sold in north america. i could buy from a japanese website but then i don't understand japanese. in case you might want to know, why didn't i buy them while i was in Japan? for some reason my credit card couldn't work there, i tried 3 different adidas stores and none of them worked, how disappointing...
by the way, i found a page online with the originals being released for spring/summer in taiwan. and i found this "Heartfelt" by andrew Pommier being released in Taiwan in April. the weird thing is, the one that's going to be released here looks exactly the same as the above we found except that red line near the bottom of the sneakers. personally i like that red line and that's what i'm going after, but it's really strange if adidas really releases that edition, with so minor change. yes i've checked hundred times, everything else looks the same.
