You can also quote the 1979 Sale of Goods Act to them, in that anything you buy from a retailer should be fit for purpose. You could even send them to adidas to confirm they are fake. Involve everybody, your local obudsman, MP, police, the army, SAS (okay the last one might be a bit steep)
