Yes you can!
If you put tape on the inside of the shoe just under the leather where the laces holes are. You'll need to cut holes through the tape for the laces.
There's a whole thread about it over at CT with pictures etc which is worth checking out.
Seemed like a whole lot of hassle for me as I never wear them.
