You'll probably be fine but I was just talking from personal experiance. Most times if the buyer opens a dispute (even without a proper reason) they will win against the seller. And your right, you don't have a choice, either use Paypal or get off ebay is the message I get. Seems stupid to be paying the same company twice (final value fee and then paypal transaction fee). They are raking it in.

I like Google Checkout but thats banned from ebay, guess they don't want the competition...
