Hmmm. Custom charges are always a problem. When I order from abroad I just hope for the best, but most times the item is marked as a gift. Not sure though Wink

I've ordered from pickyourshoes and harputs a few times before and never had any charges. It's all been sent by UPS though and not FedEx. Also I always get them to mark it as 'gift' as that seems to help avoid charges.

My local delivery office now has a sign saying that there's a £12 handling fee for customs stuff. But I got some threadless tees and didn't get that charge even though I had to pay for customs.

It's all a bit random really.

This was marked a gift!!!but had a high (dont ask) value!!and will be delivered by parcelfarce. The custom charges are not bad i can accept that but its the VAT i've been charged on the item which hurt alittle.Never knew you could be charged vat on a un new item,But item should be delivered tomorrow so i can see all the shipping info and what not,But ill be ringing customs to query this.

If the value of item is above a certain price ,think its £30 not totally sure tho, even if its marked as a gift you still get stung by customs which is a bit out of order in my eyes but thats the UK for you...

Three stripes is the only way unless its a red one
