Reporting ebay fakes
#1

Afternoon

Recently I purchased some NBA's off a guy on ebay. The day after I joined this site, l discovered they would be fakes. I was displeased.

However, after they took 3 weeks to arrive the guy refunded my money (he told me they were coming from the US, didn't know Shanghai was in America), and they arrived the very next day. Sure enough, fake as fuck.

I explained they were fakes, and he appeared genuinely shocked, apologetic, and even sent me money to return them to him.

I've since noticed he's sold them on on ebay, and has loads more. He suggested he would stop selling the fakes, as I thought he may have been duped like some of us may have been in the past. Turns out not to be the case, he's just a dick.

Anyway, I remember seeing a link on the ebay home page a few weeks back telling you to how to report counterfeit goods. From what I've read it probably isn't going to make a difference, but I'd still like to do my bit.

Does anyone know this link? Can't find it anywhere on the site.

Cheers

It was fuckin' obvious that that cunt was gonnae fuck some cunt.

if you go to the bottom of any item on eBay there is a "report this item" link..

follow that and you can report it, but you can only report the item number, you cant put any additional info in there! Sad

But it will make a difference! think about how MANY items are fake on ebay, if each recipient complained ebay would stop it all. its basically giving fakers free market to squash our passion!!!

Keep it real

Oh nooooooooo!!! pokey's had another idea!!!
Ok like it says its an idea so im not sure its even possible but the thoughts there!!
I wonder whether it would be possible to post an item on ebay called "adidas fakers list info" for say 1p sale price but @ the bottom of the page tell people not to buy it so its mearly there for show (with me so far) ok so leave it listed for say a month and include every fakers name on there so people can see it(COULD add new names as they pop up or we see em as we do are daily searches) and hopefully put the fakers outta business or at least lose them afew sales.now this raises afew points

1.Would ebay maybe let you list this for free so u didnt pay fees cos u are giving a service to there customers really

2.If a fake seller complained would they pull the ad from ebay

3.would it even be worth doing even if one person saw or and didnt buy cause you would have to keep running the ad to get to the masses

4.This forum could actually run that advert by say sharing it between us so 1 person lists it per month then the next person a month later etc etc and as i said send the person whos running it new names to keep adding to it!!

I know theres links to the fake adidas posts on there but was just an idea

WHAT DO YA THINK???? POSSIBLE NOT POSSIBLE POINTLESS ???

It's not the size of the feet!!it's the amount of quality on em

you're such a strange guy.

your idea is a good one, but does ebay care more about fees than fakes? tough to tell.

haha @ strange!! flattery canadian style
as for does ebay care either way it doesn't matter cause we do so if ebay are init for the fees then they have 1 extra fee to collect from are advert and if they do care then we win that way as well

ebay doesnt give a shit! it just wants to make $$$$$$$$, and our 'concerns' are only worth 000000000.1% of anything to them! plus all the feckless arses that go '100% seller, top trainers' when they have kicks with soles thicker than herman munsters.

we have a fake sellers list..

http://www.superstardb.com/the-fake-ebay...-1645.html

it has been viewed over 4,000 times by people checking if a sellers name has been on it..

eBay would remove the ad straight away, as when i was advertising this very site when i first launched it i used an eBay ad, as i knew people looking for adidas superstars would find it Laughing

Went ok a few times, but they got wise to it and told me off...

They dont give a flying fuck about people selling fakes, as we have tried from day one to get through to them that people DO care, and DONT want fakes.. but they dont give a shit..

All they care, is that they earn shit loads of mulah every second through people listing items.

I think what would probably be better, is if people linked to the fake sellers list we have here, from their normal auctions that they list all the time..

if we get enough people doing it, i bet that would help Smile

10 points for the thought tho pal Smile

'Ere's me twopennth for what it worth (2 groats, possibly)

I think mesel, its a great idea, the more people who know about fake soops the better - I for one didn't know there was so many on the Bay now; I would have probably bought sh*t loads of fake pairs if it wasn't for this site (thanks wikipedia for linking me to it! Very Happy). What about emailing the people via ebay who have just purchased a pair of fakes and/or pointing them to this site - now that will p*ssof the sellers when they have to deal with umpteen returns/refunds!
