Sorry to hear that Sam, how long did you work there?
I'd like to say go to CAB and fight it, but the employment law in this country is appalling, worse record in Europe if not world.
you could try the forums on i-resign.com

Sorry to hear Samo. New jobs + Sam don't seem to go too well together. That really sucks mate.

Was only there for 2 weeks, and was there as a contractor, so I have virtually no rights at all. The thing that makes me mad is that they hadn't given me an indicator at any point my job was in jeopardy. In fact when I went home at 5pm, I spoke to my manager and I was told to come in for 9am on monday, see you next week and have a nice weekend. Then an hour and a half I get a call from the agency telling me my manager has called them and told them I'm not wanted anymore. It makes me mad because I quit a secure job (admittedly one I hated) for this one and now I am thoroughly in the lurch...

Sam, get down the job centre and tell them you should be able to get Job Seekers Allowance for 6 months, don't let them fob you off.

Too bad Samo. If you were in Japan, I'd give you a job. One you would probably hate, but none the less.
Jumanji, you need to stop driving through construction sites.

Sam - surely the agency would have put a notice clause in the contract - even if only one week. It's in their best interest to do so as they won't want to lose out on the revenue.
Ask the question and see what they say
