Look what else the postie brought me... (not trainers/sneakers)

Funny but tinting is allowed in Canada, but max 20% darkness - if you know what I mean...and you're allowed to tint all sides, plus the back, not the front (ala the caribbean Wink ) Some people only have the rear sides and back, which is done here b/c of the 'cop' factor - so they can see into your car w/o fearing for their lives n pluggin you! Nice Alfa Rob....Iprefer the Italian girls moreso than the cars....unless its a Ferrari Wink

I don't know about Italian girls. But Alfa is actually the only Italian car manufacturer I like Laughing I also like German brands such as BMW and Audi a lot!!! And offcourse I wouldn't mind trading my Alfa for your GTi. How big is VW in Canada? I gues not as big as in Europe.

My GTI was a great car but the aftersales was a joke.

Buying the car from main VW Franchise you'd expect it to be pucka, however found out that my car had been stolen/recovered. I think there was damage to N/S quarter panel that VW tried to hide.

Great cars not deserving of VW UK. Confused

Nice car kt. Cool

Ideally I'd like to stick with 4WD, but the GTI is definitely on the shortlist for when i come to get rid of the S4.

mmmm italian girls... sorry what?

I must say the Golfs are fantastic cars, my auntie and cousin both have current models, not gti's though Sad

german cars are pretty popular here, I think people get sick of holden and fords lol
Reply

ive always wanted a Golf GTI T, so well happy now ive got one... had a toyota when i was in OZ, hardly saw any VW or Audi.. seemed dominated by holden/ford
Reply

yeah they dominate big time, every business uses them for their fleet, and cabs, and cops etc all use them

but there's a lot more german & jap cars getting around now days
people must be starting to realise the build quality of the local cars is horrible

I've lost count the amount of times I've had to have random stuff fixed on the monaro Sad
if the resale wasnt so shocking for v8's now I'd sell up and just get a new v6 turbo merc van.
Reply

the monaro's are well nice... all my aussie work mates were pissing them selfs laughing when i said that the 2ltr toyota was the biggest sized engine i had ever had.. petrol is too expencive here for us to be driving anything to big..
1.8 turbo is plenty fast enough anyway.
Reply

yeah petrol prices here have steadily gone up over the years... and that's driven the want for v8 engined cars down, hence why the monaro's resale value has plummeted, I could prob get a better price for it as a trade in on something new rather than selling it privately
