Remember that the MK1 superstar skates were quite padded out, I think they are very comfy but Lorrie doesn't like them he feels they would make his feet look fat.

MK1's have little stars on the shell.

MK2's have slightly less padding and looked a bit like SS2s.

MK3 skates are now very much like superstar 80s and don't even have the gel socket in the heel anymore. Pah.

I think it's that my feet are so fat they don't require any extra cushioning.

But yeah, skates look bulky and are best avoided if you're a full sized man like myself.

Did my first 10km 'race' yesterday. Got under an hour, including a quick pee stop. I ended up 6872 out of 11900 or summat.

Work mate ended up 104. That's fast.

Nice Vaders! After patiently searching for five years I have finally found them, and 11300 km later, they're in my possession and I am a very happy camper!



I managed to clean most of the ashiness off the shell but is there any tried-and-true method to get rid of the ashiness?
