r32 is pretty much my dream car - hopefully gonna get the insurance on a mk5 1.4 or it's banger city for me

I think the official figures for the VW MKV R32 are about 26mpg and that's only if you don't floor it that much. I was driving a MK2 GTI for two years and had great fun with that so I decided to go for a MKV GTI last summer and boy they are quick! It was quite pricey as it's a VeeDub but it only had 9K miles on it when I got it last summer. I think I'm gonna get hammered on the road tax this summer but I'd hate to get rid of it, it's a cracking car.

Also have a '71 Triumph Vitesse that only comes out in summer. Yes I love cars almost as much as the superstars.

I prefer older cars, more character and a more involving drive but I've got no garage/workshop facilities at the moment so maintenance is a pain and I need something reliable.
Nice wheels FC! The MKII 16v is one of my all-time favourite cars

Jesus Shellshock we are so alike! Buying a "modern" car last summer was a bit of a rench, felt like I was betraying my classic car loving soul.

i do, gotta 06 gsxr 750. i havent ridin since my car accident last may but i am healed now, spring is coming, and i'm back in cali. once again no offense dirty, but texas was on hellova boring place to ride.

None taken bro. I tried to start ridin a few years back, picked up a Suzuki Savage 650 on the cheap, rode it up and down my street to learn how to ride, took it out it the open once, dropped it and burned the f*ckin hell outta my leg and called it quits right there!

Oddly enough Mrs FC, as well as being a hoooge fan of the superstars she loves classic cars as well, her faves are Mustang Fastback, Ford Carpi and Morris Marina!

I had an 2005 Jetta GLI. It was all black with tints. Those don't look like much, but it was faster than my Porsche! Go figure. Didn't really like VW's until I got my hands on that one...

just moved back to sacramento. i have family down in fresno and friends from san francisco all the way down to pismo along the coast as well as san diego, my second favorite city in cali, and i frequently hang out in any of those cities.
