STRIPES STUCK - Phikz - 24-04-08

Well I have some broken up green stripes stuck at the bottom of one of the stripes in my BK5's

Its doing my head in and i dont know what to do, I cut open the insides of some extremely nackered adicolors before to push them out, i don't really feel like doing that though to these =[

Any tips?
Please Very Happy

RE: STRIPES STUCK - Dirty - 24-04-08

Ive used a long metal pick with a 90* bend at the end and some long needle nose pliers to yank out stuck inserts. You could also try some long and flat tweezers too...

RE: STRIPES STUCK - Phikz - 24-04-08

Ty but ermm, they are stuck right down like i cant get to them with anything =S

RE: STRIPES STUCK - sin`pl - 24-04-08

one more tip - if u use pliers, catch the stripe under 'eyelet'..

RE: STRIPES STUCK - Phikz - 24-04-08

hmm i have tried tweezers and they just dont reach =[
Dont know what u mean by a metal pick?
Ahh they should have made the stripes less prone to break or something :@

RE: STRIPES STUCK - pokey27 - 24-04-08

try a straightened paperclip but wrap it in celotape so the sticky bit is on the outside !!

RE: STRIPES STUCK - Dirty - 24-04-08

A pick is like a small screw driver that comes to a point at the end. The ones I got have different angle bends at the pointy end. Id take a pic but i was on my way out the door!

RE: STRIPES STUCK - Effel - 25-04-08

use a screwdriver, or use a stanley and just cut below wjhere its stuck then feed it through.

RE: STRIPES STUCK - ziggy - 25-04-08

i used just a straighted paperchip with a very small hook on the bottom,it worked but took a lot of time and patience.
good luck
