Soup stretching - Dirty - 04-12-07

Does anybody know anything about stretching superstars? I got 2 pair of sweet ass '04 shells (pics coming soon) but they are a half size too small and I dont think I will be able to break them in in the usual way. I took them to a shoe repair place and they told me they couldnt be stretched but I think the guy was just being lazy (it was a half hour until closing). I dont really need them stretched length wise, only width wise. Any suggestions?

Depending on the upper material they might stretch a little once you wear them, but if the shell is too narrow I don't think there's much to do. That rubber just stays in shape...

I'd say.. sell 'em and buy some in the proper size..

I agree with streak... But he was deffinatly being lazy.
On a leather shoe width can be stretched, Ya heard
stretch 'em out or get the proper size, just don't dispair
(and never dis a pair) Or dissapear

The only thing I can suggest is using decent wodden Shoe Trees, but that would be more of a length thing - scary looking ones here: http://www.theshoelace.co.uk/acatalog/Shoe_Stretchers.html?gclid=CLv80OfQjpACFQTclAod6wOKoA[php]
But failing that, you may have to opt for a bigger size if possible. I had some shelltoes that were too small & it wasn't a nice feeling on the feet!

my suggestion is.Shocked
damp news paper and pack/shove it in the shoe and hope. you will not get any movement on the shell. good luck. what are they?? are they worth the hassle??

Would damp paper have any effect on the inside of the trainer at all? I know I always stuff paper into the front of shoes that give a bit of a pinch (heels mainly) - but it's always dry...

apparently it works but....... would ya risk it, on ya fav supes, i dont think so.Confused
