I have a thread suggestion, couldn't find a similar thread but rather than just randomly start one I though I'd get some opinions first, to see if people think it would be a good idea.

We all post threads proudly displaying our collections and have a thread to let peeps know when we take delivery of new acquisitions. I think we also need some kind of "Holy Grail" thread. A thread where members can post pics of supes that they really want to add to their collection but have not yet managed to locate. That way, should anybody come across a shoe (not literally) they think someone may be interested in they have somewhere quick and easy to refer to, without the need to search endlessly through a whole stack of threads.

What's prompted this thought is I'm sure I read on here recently that someone was after a pair of those "fake Tates" supes, the dark brown/green ones? I was in a shop that had a couple pairs of those the other day and wouldn't mind picking them up/passing them on if I knew who wanted them and what size they need.

Whaddya reckon, yay or nay? Or does something like this already exist, I just couldn't find it! Laughing

There is/was a thread like this somewhere..

The problem with sharing knowledge about the whereabouts of different "grails" is that because this is an open forum, anyone can read these threads without becoming a member. So, when you intend to tell a certain person about the whereabouts of acertain shoe, someone else could get there first and knab it!
There is a thread about the size of supes we wear, and so if you do spot something in a particular size, you can always look up the shoe size and PM that person/persons about their location..

Hope this makes sense.. it is bloomin' early and my brain ain't quite functioning yet tard

Yeah man, I hear what ya sayin, hence why I thought I'd ask what you guys think before starting the thread. Couldn't it work if we just pm'd the person to let them know where you'd seen the shoe, rather than posting it location for all to see?

Or how bout we have a kinda VIP area of the site for such matters to be discussed by "certified" members only? Cool

Still, even if it's a bad idea I'd actually be quite interested in just seeing what "grails" people have on their wish-lists, I'd be very interested to see what shoes people want to add to to their collections.

Just settle back and enjoy the ride mate.
Most of it's already been taken care of.
Thing is, if people even post their Holy Grail wants, other people become interested when they might never have known or just not been interested and then they go and buy them anyway depriving someone who really wanted them.
Certain trainers have become much more sort after even though nuff bods weren't around when they were released, have barely seen them and only want them cos long established members on here want them !
