Sweeet! I want some too.

Got 2 cans for just under £18 including delivery on ebay Smile

Interesting.

Ani, I find that any cleaning just messes the stitching up. Anything abrasive at all, even a brush, just causes them to fray. Very annoying.

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - Cackman - 08-06-14

So I ordered some Sea Glow the other day to try and rehab a pair of sneaks I picked up for hella cheap. Thought I'd share a few photos with you all about progress so far.

Before any cleaning and straight off the rack I found them on.

As you can probably see, they are a bit scroungy and ugly lol. But I just HAD to try to rescue them. Hell, they were only $25, at least worth a shot RIGHT?

Today the sun managed to come out long enough that I could finally give it a go with Sea Glow. Pretty much didn't do any thing more than follow the directions from Island Girl that came with the Shoe kit they sent me. I tried looking at Youtube for some helpful pointers, but it seems that damn near EVERYONE has their own way of going about it, so I bagged that idea in short order LMAO. This is the first of at least 3? treatments I think it'll take to get these kicks back to presentable again. Total time "baking" in the sunlight was no more than 60 mins with three re-applications during that time. Each time (including initial application) a vigirous scrub session was employed to work the product in. After they "baked", all that was/is needed is a wipedown with a damp rag to de-activate the product. So far I feel like it's living up to it's claims. I think I was hoping for more dramatic results, but mostly because I'm impatient Wink Any way, on to the After pics.

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - Guy242 - 08-06-14

I've been using crep protect for a few weeks and pretty impressed.. They started selling it in all the major sport/shoe shops.. Only issue I had was sprayed it on some camo consortium adizero and got a bit of bleed from the darker print on to the sole, cleaned off easy enough. Maybe I just sprayed too much on em. Wink

Nice job with the rebels, looks like they cleaned up a treat cackman.!

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - lexustek192 - 08-06-14

Nice clean up!! Definitely brought the shine back to them.

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - TheUKPete - 23-11-14

Had an afternoon free so thought I'd give my supes a bit of a clean. Starting off using some wipes and cleaning spray on the ones that were only lightly soiled. Then I thought I'd have a go at my daily wearers. So I've been wearing these camo supes 4 days a week for my daily commute to and from the office. I've worn them fishing and loads of other places. They are well used and proper comfy! They were also filthy. I've only done one so far but I tackled these with a tube of 25p Tesco Everyday Value Toothpaste. I think they've come up pretty well!

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - A Working PIG - 25-10-15

Can I be forgiven for not trawling all 31 pages and just ask what people do to pad out their SS's?

Having pulled a few more from the attic I'm kinda bummed I didn't pack em with something before launching em up there.

I see Nike owners have a toe box protector although I don't think they'll be much use to us. It's more the side wall just after the toe that seems to sag.

Any thoughts?

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - Superstar_Luke - 26-10-15

Shoe trees.

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - ez-1 - 26-10-15

I have about 100 pairs of these. Not sure if Ikea still sells these but they used to be around 1,5€/pair.

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - A Working PIG - 26-10-15

Hmm, for some reason I didn't think these would do the job being designed for shoes... I take it they don't cause additional damage to our precious SS'S?

RE: How to keep your Kicks fresh - ez-1 - 26-10-15

I guess there is little you can do after the damage is done but for the future storing they might help. I have those in almost all of my shoes. Wooden would be better but since I rarely wear same shoes day after day theres not going to be much sweating and drying. So the plastic will do nicely. Plus getting more than hundred pairs of wooden shoe trees would cost a fortune.

EBay to the rescue, I'm gonna give em a try. Thanks for the tip.
