No, Frenchies are from the 80's and earlier, pre 87 I think. These are 98's. The pre 2002 refers to him not having any earlier supes I think. They had a nicer shell pre 2002 though, much shallower rubber pattern.

There should be a small one attached to the side of the tongue or possibly inside the shoe. I think that's where it is in mine.

Those shells where so much nicer back in the day. Nice square shell and the crosses not so visible. Why can't adidas see those shells are so much cooler than on recent SS2's and
SS1's?????
