Here, here Damyien, I too have been helped loads by members on here and in turn i've tried to do my bit.
I may well fall in to the buy lots category but the problem for many of us newbies is having your eyes opened to the amount of great Supes out there. It shouldn't be a problem to buy what you want as long as it's for your pleasure and you can afford it.
As Mr P rightly says those who are not interested in being on SSDB will ultimatley leave anyway.

What's been said.
I've not been here actively that long either but have been following the forums for much much longer and honestly couldn't care less what others think of the supes I have as long as I love them. I'm not looking for anyone's approval on the internet, never have on any of the forums I frequent nowadays. I just enjoy the vibe of this community and if along the side I'm able to find some sweet supes to wear, that's a nice bonus.
If I join a forum or any social network thingy and if it's worth my attention, I don't tend to leave anytime soon. There are a few forums where I've been posting for over 10 years by now so when I find a nice place, I'm there to stay.
I've always loved supes and as a perfectionistic and neurotic (

) collector and materialist and whatever else, I truly found the calling to start collecting supes a few years before I registered here even if I have since bought pretty damn many pairs compared to my pre-SSDB days, I never buy more than I can afford and collect purely for my own pleasure so I can wear something I enjoy wearing and glance all the shells filling up my apartment with an amazed look like I'm doing with some of my other collecting hobbies.
Don't have even half the (re)sources many of you have but if possible, I've always been trying to help people with their problems, no matter whether it's finding supes or good music, people with similar interests, struggling with personal issues,... anything really.

I just wish I'd found this place before I went on honeymoon.
All the Boston, NY and Toronto kick shops I missed out on.

I do not love Seagal...
Geez, you buy a Seagal dvd for a Seagal fan and get branded for life...
I have to say since joining SSDB I have bought a lot more supes than I did pre SSDB, but I think that's mostly down to the fact that when I joined I just got a job that gave me the means to afford to buy more and this site also showed me where to buy from and how to spot fakes.
I don't buy for e props, I buy because I love supes. I come here for the community spirit, the banter, the news on new releases and because this is the only place that understands why I have a wardrobe packed full of blue boxes.... There are a few heads on here I would consider friends now, and maybe one day I'll get to sit down in real life and enjoy a cold one with them...
People who buy to get e props I feel kind of sorry for, because they must be very sad and lonely if they need to validate themselves by attempting to impress a bunch of strangers on the internetz...
Looking forward to seeing what's in the box D, you dirty tease!

Being told you're a Seagal fan now isn't too bad. He's a very deep and profound person you know.
I got a nick Grim Reaper (or viikatemies in Finnish at the time) in grade school, 3rd grade I think, for being overly enthusiastic about horror flicks. I was 8 or 9 so the nick has been with me in one form or another for about 25 years. I started to really like it by the time internets' serious business came around here in the mid 90s and I've been using it ever since. Hah, even some of my closest friends call me by some abbreviation of Grim Reaper like Grimmy in real life.

Its my pops who is the Seagal fan... Though to be fair that one where he was a cook on a US navy ship that got taken over was quite good. The follow up with the big ass train was not...
You know what, google didn't even cross my mind for some reason! Just had a google now though and wow! I like those alot D! Seriously nice pick up mate!
My nick name has been around my actual name, so its usually Samo, Samsung, Samsonite, Samwise, Sammy etc...
