Sorry to hear that Robert. Where in France if you don't mind me asking.
I was in Champagne with my wife a few weeks ago. Stayed just a long weekend drinking - what else than champagne. 28 different if memory serves.
DHL guy delivered our shoppings today 41 bottles of sparkling goodness and one broken bottle. DHL - Destroy, Hide, Lose.

The French are fuckers . I Was over in Champagne for business with a Kiwi guy a couple of years back. Based in Reims, doing Champagne buying for work. Being English, and having a little vocabulary, saying the obligatory "Par Les Vous Anglais" met with shit service etc in restaurants and bars. Decided to opt for Par Les Vous Australie". Bastards where far more accommodating then, wanting to discuss Rugby and shit. I Don't give a shit about Rugby but played along like you do. Nice part of the world though.
What did you buy EZ? That's a fair old haul

I'm back from my self imposed exile due to having no job and no self control although I really needn't have bothered looking at the offerings adidas served up. I did get those chinese new year jobbies not very happy with the red ones, the quality was a bit crap for the price

I've joined the ranks of the employed, start at the beginning of August but have to move to to shitty yorkshire, also passed my PhD viva which had dragged on from the start of the year, celebrated by splashing out on the plastic at the adidas sale :p

My hate for the French started many many years ago. Just like IIcoolgee says, they refuse to speak any other language then their own. I speak like 10 words of French and I don't expect them to speak Dutch so I try English. Even in a hotel I wanted to eat yesterday, no one speaks English. The French are proud stuck up people. They want you to adjust instead of them adjusting for money spending tourists. The French part of Belgium is the same. I used to work at a themepark in Holland and while they speak Dutch fluently they spoke French to me and just refused any other language. What the fuck is that about???

I don't drink wine, their food is not really special, they don't have any good beer, they let you pay for any rao you use, next year I'm going back to Italy

Off course not all French people are like this. I just run in too many of them . I do enjoy my holiday though. The weather is great, I'm in a great villa and the kids are having a great time.

You're doing it wrong. I've been to France 4 or 5 times and never had a problem. WHy?...

It's like prison. You enter the country, you find the biggest Frenchman you can and beat the hell out of him. After that, the rest fall in line.

Robert I don't like them either but you shouldn't blame them all being bad. Although it is sad that 99% out of them spoils the reputation for the rest.
