Mastermind pro models have velcro but who knows if the superstars will.. not seen any pics of the mastermind superstar yet.

I find half shells to be ugly as fudge. I don't get it. Can anyone fill me in on the reason these were created? Surely it cannot have anything to do with Basketball.
The colours are wicked though.
