I actually like the tongue on these better than the KZKs as it looks like this is leather, so I doubt the quality will be cheaper, however the shoes themselves will probably be cheaper than the KZKs, which is a GOOD thing Wink

Whether you like the looks of mesh or not is individual, and I definitely prefer leather and suede myself, but that said, the mesh KZKs are VERY nice for hot summer days, which is the main reason why I like them.
– and I'll take a pair of mesh superstar 80s over flip-flops any day to keep my feet cool Very Happy

they are on the expensive side, but these are different enough for me to get involved... also now got an unexpected house mate so money is back to being a bit more available .... perfect timing, lol
