Yeah that's what I thought mate, was only £25 so thought fuck it, it isn't worth the hassle so just paid it. This was before the days of camera phones being widely available anyway!

Yeah it's a whole lot easier now, suppose thats the beauty of most modern phones, everyone walking around with cameras.
There's a new traffic warden sytem that has just kicked in down here, it's crazy. Run by the council now instead of the beast.
There taking photos and videos of cars, they've scrapped the grace period of 5 mins, even if you're just unloading something quickly.
Hardcore bastards now that's for sure.

I think in Finland they are not allowed to write a ticket if they are not sure that the car has been there for more than five minutes. I guess they are giving you time to pay your parking.
Lately they've become much more civilized around here. Like couple of years ago you really had to pay the ticket in time (two weeks) or it went up 1.5 times the original fee. Now they are more flexible with that.
Still it doesn't make it nicer to get a ticket and as Marco said usually there's no one else to blame than yourself.
