Speaking of samples, are the lux vins with grey leather shell and stripes (the ones in front of the o-store exclusives with black sole) also samples or were they released like that too? I think I've only seen them in shops with a black shell made of same material as the upper and with brown leather stripes.
I think these are a sample. I ordered mine based on a photo of a pair that looked the same but when they turned up they had brown stripes. When I enquired it turned out that the photo was of a sample that adidas supplied to the retailer and the final product was changed. I can't remember if I bought them from triads or hanon, but they definately had a photo of the non-brown stripe version, even after they were shipping them with brown stripes and only changed the photo after I complained.
I still liked them with brown though so I kept em anyway.

Excellent, that confirms what I was thinking. I've got a pair of the black/brown ones myself and they're some of the most comfy supes I've ever owned, so if they had been released in black/grey too I would probably have no choice but to track them down. Samples are no good to me though, they're way too small...LOL...
