i was envisioning some kid lacing from the top of the tongue in some loose fashion as to be able to slide their foot into their Supe and continuing downward toward the shell leaving the lace ends at the shell and then creating....gulp... bows at the bottom.

seen on little gansters from london. Think some definitely laced the wrong way around but only last few eyes so you could slip them on.
saw them when used to teach music tec in juvenile prison.... happy days
