Those stools are a must have in a future adidas room. The shipping must have been a bitch? Though, looking at Fritze's birthday present I imagine he delivered them in person

Not really in person mate. But I was shipping cushions and lamps and glasses and baubles and ... ahhh I can't remember what else. Loads of stuff.

My guess was from the 80s. The box design is from an 80s/early 90s box. The size tables under the new boxes are different. And no writings on the lid of the boxes. And very important. It is stated "Made in West Germany" on the stools. I think they changed that after 1989/1990.

I stand corrected by mr. Fritze, our man in the adidas box jungle I was thinking of the light blue 94'ish box. But your right, they were closer to the new ones before that.

No worries mate. I have to correct myself too. Was looking at a box from 2003. Little writings on the lid and and the sizing under the box is almost the same as on the stools. Not sure but I think on the newer boxes the "adidas" lettering stands under the trefoil while on the older boxes the "adidas" lettering stands separate besides the trefoil.

Have to do some research on that topic

I'm not sure myself but would they have still put "made West Germany" after the wall came down???or just Germany..If it's before the wall came down then that dates them at pre 1989-90.

Of course you are right Pokey. They wouldn't have written West Germany after the wall. I just thought the box looked like the new ones. I've only heard about shoes with "Made in West Germany" after the wall and that is probably just because they hadn't made up their mind/changed the machinery yet. Like you said a superb find!
