Can i add Goldie - Timeless and Pharcyde - Bizarre rides 2 to the list?

RE: Five favourite Albums - Big Vern - 06-01-13

Such a tough one, but for starters

Massive Attack - Blue Lines
Herbaliser - Same As It Ever Was
Run DMC - Raising Hell
Stone Roses - Stone Roses
Pet Shop Boys - Very (guilty pleasure!)

Doesn't even begin to touch numerous hip hop, Brit pop and many many more

RE: Five favourite Albums - dregz - 08-01-13

Saw this thread the other day and couldn't possibly post with out plenty time to think about it and I'm still struggling.
To pick 5 from the thousands of pieces of vinyl I have is too hard. I reckon I could narrow it down to a top 30 - 40 albums and from that pot my top 5 would vary on any given day.

definite candidates include:
BDP - By All Means Necessary
Ice Cube - AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted
Digable Planets - Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
Michael Jackson - Off The Wall
The Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde
Bob Marley - Uprising
Ice T - Power
Run DMC - Raising Hell

Like shellshock said I've changed some of these already.

Some of you (Ben, EZ n Dregz) dont follow instructions: FIVE....hahhaha...I know its hard Great thread ICG...perhaps should have been 'top 5 Artists/albums that remain in your rotation, no matter how old/how long its been'.

Forever on my playlists:

Paul Weller (Jam and early solo efforts - PW, WildWood)
Massive Attack (Blue Lines, Protection, Mezzanine)
Verve - Urban Hymes
Beasties - Lic to Ill and Pauls B

Someone can have my 5th Wink

Ok. To make things a little more interesting, Without Hip Hop in the list;-
Blue Lines.
Stone Roses.
James Brown - in the jungle groove.
Stevie - Songs in the key of live.
Marley - Legend.
Soul 2 Soul - Club Classic (possibly one of the most overated albums of all time...But the memories of it and the time rule)

Favourite 12 inch:-
Drexciya - Wavejumper (if you dont know it, check it out on youtube. Heavy as fuck UR bizniz)

Whos stupid idea was it to try and quantify a top 5 album list. Its chuffing impossible innit
Some great stuff has been put forward by all. Stuff i hadnt listened to for years has been dug out again.

I have to say I'm shocked to find out how many people on this site are having trouble counting to five.

The title of this thread is FIVE (5!) favorite albums Very Happy

RE: Five favourite Albums - ez-1 - 10-01-13

Just updated that Spotify list. BTW it is collaborative so you can add your own favorite albums there.
