Long enough G...thats just it...like suddenly Im not worth a few brain cells for a better effort....don't get me wrong i truly don t need much, and haven't for a number of years...of course what little I want I go out and get it on my own ( b/c no one else can get it for me, from a financial or resource perspective I.e. Special soup drops LOL)... But still, a little thought goes along way...

LOL all said items are still sitting in a pile on the floor, under the tree...the T is likely slated for cookie toss duty, the book a regift, and the hand cream to a female colleague in my cubicle pod space....

My mom (bless her heart) wasted money on a large trefoil hoody. Never been a large. No idea where she got it so I can't return it.

I feel your pain - last year I got a bunch of XXL t shirts from my mom. I would have had to been around 400 lbs for them to fit.

I got a million bad present stories. One year a girl friend got me a leopard print silk shirt for my birthday...

Or the first year my then girlfriend now wife got me cufflinks and I didn't own a french cuffed shirt.

Didn't really get presents this year... Folks just gave me a bit of cash to help for my holiday next week....

But the best present I got (from my brothers gf who I don't like) was "kicks Japan" book.
There is some unexpected thought lol now I kind of feel bad for detesting her.

lol Kenny my mum is just as bad if not worse... puts absolutely no thought into gifts ever, just throws something together last minute..

this year I got 2 books that she had sitting around at her place, some random bottles of moisturiser she also had sitting around the house, a shitty electric toothbrush she got given and a b-grade dvd that was sitting in her dvd collection

the year before that she gave me similar junk, the highlight being a 6 pack of egg cups... 6... I live by myself and havent had boiled egg & soldiers since I was about 12!

when I confronted her about it she said she doesnt know what I like... which is hard to believe considering I'm a photographer, all I wear is adidas and all I talk about is going to NYC next year...

and I always put thought and effort into a gift

This here reply is a gift to me Steve, so thank you! As so often, just when one thinks they've got it bad, someone else comes along to share the pain, I mean love...can anyone top this? Lorrie, you're pretty close LOL....still have that shirt?
