^I've got one more thing to test before I follow that course of action...
My friend tried the scotchguard thing, but all the ink ran off the shoes straight away! I think I can safely cross scotchguard one off the list!

Well im using the angelus finisher stuff on mine, when i get round to finishing them
but ive used it on some others and it seems to keep the water off and it doesnt go on very thick so it might be worth a gander

yeah ive got some angelus matt acrylic finisher for when i get round to leather ones...
