Welcome - I feel so lucky beeing able to wear a more regular UK8 size sstar.

Hopefully this forum will help your collection grow - mine has. Four pairs of sstars in two months - I'm not flush with cash as a result but at least I've got something nice to look at and wear. Art for your feet!

Welcome aboard Shrewgy. Nice selection you have there.
I thought that using the term "Frisco" was a huge no-no, much like "San-Fran", or is that just a myth?
Also, thats a large size kick you're rocking, must make getting certain styles a pain in the ass, or do they always come up with large sizes over there.
Hope we can all help you spend sick amounts of cash to expand your collection.Very Happy

Ahhh, Frisco, that is a myth I believe created by on old movie called "Freebie and the Bean", now days we even call it The 'Sco. San Fran, no that is something people from other places call it, we would say "SF".
Over here US 13 isn't a big deal. Proper Adidas are though. We have that stupid Oregon brand and our obvious lack of a proper football history that keeps our taste in sneakers low. Americans believe that the Japanese are the root of all sneaker trends, I at times think. In my opinion Japanese are tasteless trendoids that take everything paste the point of good taste. Mind you they are super good at copying and giving things a touch of flare but usually after that end up somewhere past the point of good taste.
We'll see if SSDB can get me hot to spend my $$$ but I am an old-school hunter and buying things from private parties, especially online will probably not be in the spirit of my pursuit. I love the web to see what is out there. I also love to travel and keep a sharp eye out with that info.

Hello shrewgy, I've been lurking here for a long time too fella. Seems like a very civilised forum and great to know that there's so many others with the same obsessive choice of footwear. Was thinking of SF earlier this evening, visited in 2004 about this time of year. Nice city. cheers!

Welcome to the party shrewgy, better late than never! thumbleft
I too would love a pair of those MCMs. Pretty thin on the ground these days tho I think Sad

RE: Straight out of Frisco, CA - shrewgy - 18-12-07

My desire for those MCM's is based on in the late '80's my friends had a semi-successful group here in SF call MCM and the Monster. It was at a time when rocking full Louis, Gucci, Troop and occasionally MCM suits was in vogue. I still have my white faux MCM leather ball cap.
BTW MCM stands for Michael Crower Manufacturing. German leather goods designer.
