they've dropped almost half in value since this world financial crisis
I was trying to sell it to upgrade to something newer but its no longer worth it since the price is so low now

May not be the time to sell, but definitely a time to buy...

Hahaha, just great taste methinks!
Is it the MK V version? Graphite Blue?

Ah no, mine's a MKIV in Jazz blue. I'm looking at MKVs' at the minute. Took an MKV R32 out for a test drive recently, seriously tempted but it was averaging 26mpg on the blast and even went as low as 17mpg at one point, which put me of a little bit. Only a little bit though
R32s, very nice indeed, I reckon the MkIV looks a hell of a lot more agressive though, I'd look for a good example of that personally. 26 MPG is pretty good if you're driving it hard for a 32 too.

I used to have a mk4 4motion but i averaged maybe 17-18 mpg so i had to get rid, would kill for an r32 but just too expensive to run, for me anyway

r32 is pretty much my dream car - hopefully gonna get the insurance on a mk5 1.4 or it's banger city for me

I think the official figures for the VW MKV R32 are about 26mpg and that's only if you don't floor it that much. I was driving a MK2 GTI for two years and had great fun with that so I decided to go for a MKV GTI last summer and boy they are quick! It was quite pricey as it's a VeeDub but it only had 9K miles on it when I got it last summer. I think I'm gonna get hammered on the road tax this summer but I'd hate to get rid of it, it's a cracking car.
this was "Bullit"
and this is "Libby"
Also have a '71 Triumph Vitesse that only comes out in summer. Yes I love cars almost as much as the superstars.

The Mk IV I currently own is the first proper 'modern' car I've owned, it was mostly MKI & II GTi's, BMW E30's and air-cooled dubs for me before that. I prefer older cars, more character and a more involving drive but I've got no garage/workshop facilities at the moment so maintenance is a pain and I need something reliable.
Nice wheels FC! The MKII 16v is one of my all-time favourite cars

Jesus Shellshock we are so alike! Buying a "modern" car last summer was a bit of a rench, felt like I was betraying my classic car loving soul.
