voila. Black Ties from Black Friday Nov 28th, 2008. have to say that this is my first purchase of Supes that exceeded US$100 to purchase. couldn't pass up the opportunity. three shops had the 300 pairs that were released (David Z's in New York, Major in Wash D.C., and Shoe Gallery in Miami). never seen them pop up on ebay or even craigslist. so, after three years of searching, just before Christmas two weeks ago, i decided.... fuck it... i'll just call the shops to see if they have any laying around that didn't sell. David Z's. Out. Shoe Gallery. Out. Major. whooooaaaaa nelly!!! the guy didn't know off hand, so he took my number and said that he'd go check in the warehouse. double whooooaaaaa nelly!!! they had some, and, they had more than one pair in several sizes!!!!




i've been wanting these to convince my wife that i can wear Supes to nice "dress up" events. they are nice, really nice...except the laces. i think the laces could've been fancier, maybe like FTRs. the lace jewel is leather. the lace tips are a metal of some kind. the leather is shiny, but not patent shiny. can't wait for my next "dress up" event to rock them. too bad that i received AFTER New Year's Eve.

I don't understand what's wrong with wearing quality proper dress shoes to dressy events rather than sneakers.....
