I really wish I took photos of all the fake soups in Bangkok. I was laughing at the wrong fonts for superstar on the side and the colors were just wrong.
I wanted to slap all the tourists buying them.

Goddamit.. reading through this post made me paranoid as hell about my new soops from Thailand, but they're definitely real (pass all the tests, correct tags, plus I know and trust the shopkeep).. literally, I would not advise buying from there unless you know your shit to the tee... Even the shops that have the real ones in the window often then sell you fakes anyway/ or put all the real demos at the front to lure you in to what is then fakers paradise.
A lot of those ones with the '35th anniversary' print all over them can be found all over Khao San, being brought by hundreds of gullible backpackers. Its quite funny, I needed a pair, so I brought a pair of unbranded Nike dunk looking things with superstar soles in white/yellow/green. Quite nice looking actually, although the suede cracked within the day and they have 'clockhouse' written on the inside for some reason? I will post them when I get back. But for some reason, while they will admit all the Puma's/ Bapes/ Nikes/ Asciis were fake, they were absolutely determined that their vacum packed Anniverseries were 100% legit... Thais...

They have probably never even seen a legit pair! Thought i'd seen bad fakes in the likes of MBK centre, Kaoh San Rd etc, but the ones I saw in Samui and Phuket were even worse, maybe the cast offs from Bangkok. Terrible. Should stick to the fake £2 Birkenstocks at least these last the duration of the holiday and dont look too bad.
