At one point everyone one of us was new to the SSDB and I would guess that at least a couple of us started off without a proper intro.
If we keep smashing people into the ground as soon as they come in we'll soon find ourselves with 5 or 6 persistent members and that's about it. And that will dwindle to Streak, Spite and Pure.
Yes, sure, I'm guilty of having a go at people too, but I think we should probably ease up a bit.
If a noob comes on and posts a question without introduction it isn't mandatory that someone answer.

Yes. Please don't answer stupid threads.. leave it to us mods to comment or delete. That's what we get paid for.

Couldn't agree more.
At least let someone consistently establish themself as a bell-end before the fury is unleashed.

I agree, I have started ignoring crap intros or pointless threads, unless they are a total, total cunt.

I wholeheartedly agree that not every noob should be dissed and not all of them do get that treatment. We've had a stack of quality new members in the time I've been here but just lately we seem to be going through yet another of those phases where some proper tools are signing up who have absolutely no intention of hanging around or contributing once they've got the information they require. Sometimes that is very apparent from their very first post. I don't know how but there has to be a way to discourage the knobbers who've just watched The Firm and gone out and spunked £££'s on some fake Forest Hills without doing their homework from joining up. If I had it my way the forum would be locked off and you'd have to apply and pass some competency exam to become a member

It can sometimes be harsh but in the main I have only seen idiots get abused.
The "OMG where can I get these train0rz from" and the "Are these FakeZ???" threads are very tedious.
I had a quick look at the forum and realised the done thing was to introduce yourself, it wasn't hard
Not until I had played with it for a bit anyway.

I think what Mr SS is saying is that some noobs come on here but they are quick to show us their collection some have loads of soops and fit right in and some have only a few pairs (like I did) and yet fit right in, or maybe take a wee while but fit in eventually.
Then you get the cocks who come on and demand answers to their question(s) before they'll do anything in return (ie - introduce themselves)
I've been on some running and MINI forums recently and the same happens on them. Some people just invite a ban.
Only their moderators let you get away with stuff and are not mini Hitlers like on here.
fc is off and running
