Didn't they have black stripes? How do you do them yellow? Did you bleach them first or what?

Great work Rob! I understand what you mean about being a perfectionist. I've been thinking of doing some myself too but I would probably go bananas if they didn't turn out exactly how I wanted. And I can't seem to find a pair I would be able to sacrify as a first attempt. So, big up to you for actually doing it and well at that!

I have been experimenting with an old pair but started on the brand new Eldridges shortly after. Benji advised me to buy an old pair on the bay but I couldn't stop myself for beginning on the Eldridges Laughing

Keep in mind that it's going to take A LOT of your time. One layer of paint won't do the job. Besides some have backaches I had a lot of fun doing it. I have already started on another pair but they will be more basic.
