Good Booze Heads up?
#1

As there is a distinct lack of quality supes I wondered if I might just start a thread close to my heart/liver.

If there is such a thing as good alcohol then I request you let us know about it....

For me under a fiver and a tasty Rioja grape that the ladies like:

We get through a fair bit of wine at our house, some of it downright shit - especially that 'once won loads of medals when it still tasted alright' stuff. So any pointers to good tasting deals would be great. [hic]

My favourite is a south Austrailian Shiraz by Little Penguin, if you can find a 2008 or 2009 then they're the best. Very smooth and easy drinking with a really jammy aftertaste

This is my regular red, ca'di ponti nero d'avola . . . about a fiver. The 2010 is very good, the 2009 is very very good. Recommend it.

I don't wear Crocs, and I don't wear sandals/The pump don't work 'cause the vandals took the handles . . .

I don't really have a subtle enough palate for good wines, I can rarely taste any real differences. I'm more of a 'sod the vintage, check the percentage' kinda drinker Razz
