Bristol..... Not cheap though

Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in while you could miss it.

Trent was one of the other ones high on my list. Not sure if I can get the course I want there but it doesn't matter too much if I can grab a PGCE on the way out. Don't know much about Bristol, will have a look.

Thanks again people, it all helps!

There's a 3 year course you come out the end with a BA and Qualified Teacher Status. After 3rd year you do a year being paid a low rate but teaching classes. Leeds Trinity has that (I think) but if I don't want to go there for whatever reason, a 3 year BA and then a PGCE on top will get me the same net effect, just less time teaching (and getting paid) on that 4th year.

Btw - when you guys talk about Leeds Uni, do you mean the metropolitan or trinity all saints? Sounds like there's a big difference in quality between the two.

edit: Hope I understood your post right. Been at the special brew a bit.

Okay Reid.

There is

1. The Univeristy of Leeds.
2. The Metropolitan
3. Trinity and all saints which is sort of linked to one of the above. But it has its own campus just a little ride out of Leeds. Most of its students still live and are part of the student areas. Its just the little journey out of town that needs to be considered. Am not sure what public transports like up there. But u will probably bring the car with u i guess ?
BTW - There is an open day at the met this weekend.

Ahh, that sorts a lot of stuff out. Was a bit confused about how Leeds and Leeds Met were the only mentioned ones on websites but Trinity wasn't mentioned anywhere else so just presumed it was joined with Leeds Uni. Turns out it'll be it's own university from next year, not really sure what to make of that. This uni stuff is way too hard.

Also, special brew at home is the only way to roll.

Are you talking about going the GTP route when you've got your degree? (On the job in school for a year to get your QTS) Isn't a B.Ed three years in most places now? I did a degree in Manchester (great) (was there 1993 to 199Cool and PGCE years later in Plymouth (terrible).
Degree was a piece of piss compared to the PGCE, mind you you've got plenty of school experience so you're going into it with your eyes open. Are you going for primary or secondary fella?

edit - what's with the sunglasses smilie shizzle? I'm not doing it?!
