RE: trefoil on rear of sign offs
I got a couple of defects on some of my shoes. As I think of it, not one is really 100% perfect. I am a perfectionist and had some trouble with that too. But then I found out that they all had something and it didn't bother me anymore. I don't get SS's reaction though. Maybe he hasn't got laid for a while

RE: trefoil on rear of sign offs
I must be perfect because I don't have any defects on any of my soops. Well, aside from a couple pairs that are unwearable.

RE: trefoil on rear of sign offs
The things I am talking about you'd probably not see as defects either

RE: trefoil on rear of sign offs
Good to know man
I did miss a scale on one of my green snakeskins. That was quite noticable and I would call that a defect. I fixed it with a magic marker. |

Maybe he hasn't got laid for a while I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one [/Jigga] My reaction centers around the rather overblown "tiny fault=fakes?!?!" reaction of MrF. Every member has at the very least one pair of imperfect supes. Receiving a pair such as the above would usually warrant a shrug of the shoulders, a post and and maybe a pic in the bloodboiler thread and nothing more, bigger tings a g'wan. Even when a long standing member very politely advised it was no biggie that wasn't enough to put his mind to rest, a 2nd opinion was requested which I thought was a bit rude and uneccessary for such a trivial matter. My point is if he's going to continue collecting shoes and inevitably start buying used ones he may want to adopt a slightly less nervous disposition otherwise he's going be crying into his pillow a lot. And we'll have a large number of dull and tedious threads from delicate new members desperately seeking reassurance that their every purchase is genuine. Supe like Wanton, Buju like Banton |

RE: trefoil on rear of sign offs
I understand you man. But I kinda understand MrF too. I myself have bought 3 fake pairs in the past. After that I thought everybody was a possible fake-seller. It took away all the fun but then I thought: "did it cost me any money buying those fakes?" No, I got all my money back. Nowadays I am a bit cautious but I feel protected by PayPal.
I learned a lot on SSDB, I know where to look at. But once in a while you buy something on the bay which is not perfect, no biggie. I stopped caring. Only once did I return a pair, that was because the shell was all dented. I think it's just a newbie-thing. SS, good to hear that a bitch aint one of your problems |
