Transformers - any suggestions?
Ok - A lot of you might think this is very sad of me, but I have started work on a transformers theme superstar as I have been a fan since I was a kid.
I have got hold of 2 pairs of superstar 1 lux in white so I have my canvas and I'm working on some stencils.
So far, my plan is to do one pair as an autobot theme and one pair as a decepticon theme - sort of like the star wars superstars - using the robot face logos of each. Since the trainers already have a gold adidas trefoil on the tongue my plan was to put the logos on the heel (like footpatrols).
I may also centre the theme around the leaders of each side, so have one pair featuring optimus prime and the other featuring megatron.
I want to have a dark theme (rather than overly comic booky) and wondered if anyone had any good suggestions for the design.

I think the optimus prime/ megatron idea sounds sweet! I was a big fan of transformers as a kid too.
Id like to see how these turn out!

i've been sketching out ideas on a blueprint for adicolors that i downloaded from the old adidas adicolor website so you could design your own.
Once you've done it you can print it out and make a full 3d model. Or you can print out blank and colour it in.
If anyone wants the files let me know. Maybe i can post it on here somewhere?

i think that you got an excellent concept there radnet, id love to see how these customs turn out. perhaps you could put the autobots/decepticons logos on the tongue somehow (like in the picture above)
maybe add some 3M paint for that metallicy-futuristic look?
thats just my two cents
- asians dominating in da australian society -

i think keep it simply, but have a silhouette of optimus prime near the heel of the trainers, but actually have the picture going right down to the side of the soles.
hmmm ..... but definately have optimus!

Personally...maybe like what others have mentioned with the logos on the tongue and nice lace jewels...but other than that trying to make the shoe look like each character.
I think that was the appeal of the Star Wars soops--how the whole shoe looked like each character in a way. I don't think they would have been nearly as popular if there would have been a picture of Yoda or Darth Vader on the shoe.

RE: Transformers - any suggestions?
i think i would have the face of optimus and megatron on the heels of the shoes, so when you turn them heel to heel they would be facing each other like the movie poster, lol
like this sorta...
We make a mean team, my adidas and me!

Hey
I think images of the Original 80's series on some Superstar would look wicked.
Personally my favourites were the Dinobots...........Grimlock on a Superstar.........AWESOME!
